Green’s Park – Village of Lake Orion
Location: 66 S Park Blvd, Lake Orion, MI 48362

Green’s Park is a scenic 2-acre public park located off M-24, just south of Flint Street, with approximately 560 feet of frontage on Lake Orion. Conveniently situated one block from the shops and restaurants of downtown Lake Orion, the park offers both recreational access and lakeside relaxation.

Park Features & Amenities:

  • Swimming Beach – A designated public swimming area is maintained by the Village’s Department of Public Works. Daily and seasonal park passes are available for purchase at the Village office.

  • Water Testing & Safety – The beach is regularly tested for E. coli bacteria by the Oakland County Health Division, in compliance with Michigan’s Public Bathing Beach Law (Public Act 368 of 1978). Test results and historical beach data are available via EGLE’s BeachGuard System.

  • Boat Docks – Public boat docks are located at Green’s Park and nearby Pelton’s Point. A valid boat dock pass, available from the Village office and online, is required. Dock use is governed by the Village’s Boat Dock Ordinance.

  • Facilities at Green’s Park includes:

    • Basketball hoop

    • Picnic tables

    • Benches

    • Grills

    • Bike racks

    • Water fountains

    • Kayak and paddleboard launch area

    • A U-shaped dock enclosing the beach area

    • Kids' Playscape with swings 

Hours & Regulations:

  • Park Attendant: On-site daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM

  • Restrooms: Open only during attendant hours

  • Children: Must be accompanied by a parent or guardian

  • Pets: Not allowed

  • Alcohol: Strictly prohibited

People at the park

All of the Village's facilities have accessibility ratings of 2, 3, or 4, with the exception of Unger Park which carries an accessibility ranking of 1 due to the grade change and lack of paved surfaces to access any features within the park.

While most of the recreation facilities include elements that are handicapped accessible, many of the routes to reach such facilities are lacking in compliance.
