The Lake Orion Village Council will hold a public hearing on the proposed FY 2026-27 water and sewer rates on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 6:30 PM, in the Village Hall Council Chambers, 21 E. Church Street, Lake Orion, MI 48362. Under the proposed rates, the average water customer using 1,500 cubic feet (11,220 gallons) of water per quarter will see a 10% decrease in their water bill and a 32.5% increase in their sewer bill. The main reason for the sewer increase is the anticipated issuance of $8 million in bonds for phases II and III of the sanitary sewer pump station improvement project.
