The Village of Lake Orion is seeking qualified applicants for the Full-time position of Deputy Clerk/Treasurer. The position works 40 hours per week under the supervision of the Clerk/Treasurer. Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter, can take on new challenges, and has a strong desire to learn various duties within the office. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must.

Treasurer duties would include assisting with all financial operations of the village, including ensuring accurate accounting of village funds, investing cash, collecting receivables, payroll, accounts payable, debt issuance, annual budget, assisting customers at the counter and other duties as assigned. Clerk duties would include attending various board meetings when needed, typing minutes for meetings, preparing agenda packets for various board meetings, responsible for public notices and announcements, responsible for filing and record keeping and other duties as assigned.
